In the shop window you have promptly identified the cover with the title you were looking for. Following this visual trail, you have forced your way through the shop past the thick barricade of Books You Haven’t Read, which were frowning at you from the tables and shelves, trying to cow you. But you know you must never allow yourself to be awed, that among them there extend for acres and acres...

I’m so insanely feverish I’ve started seeing halogen auras around everyone. And I have a mandatory assignment to submit tomorrow, a resume and job interview with a panel of experts, and a shitload of other work to do. etc. etc. Oh and my computer keeps crashing when I start up any other application. MY BODY HURTS ALL OVER I DUN WANNA I DUN WANNA. IJUSTWANTMYMOMMY.

I want to grow my hair so long, that it can be braided from one end to the oposite end, like those strangely beautiful 70’s style twisted braids.

The Old Astronomer And His Pupil by Sarah Williams Reach me down my Tycho Brahe, — I would know him when we meet, When I share my later science, sitting humbly at his feet; He may know the law of all things, yet be ignorant of how We are working to completion, working on from then till now. Pray, remember, that I leave you all my theory complete, Lacking only certain data, for your adding...

2011 Retrospective Questionnaire!
1. What did you do in 2011 that you’d never done before?  Loads! I graduated with a diploma in Animation and am currently in a Bachelors (with honors) program. I also went to my first fashion show, it was great and met up with lots of people whom I haven’t seen in years. Also met my best friend after six long years. Got into the Pottermore BETA (hey this is a big deal!) and learnt how to...

One Hundred Love Sonnets: XVII by Pablo Neruda   I don’t love you as if you were a rose of salt, topaz,    or arrow of carnations that propagate fire:    I love you as one loves certain obscure things,    secretly, between the shadow and the soul. I love you as the plant that doesn’t bloom but carries    the light of those flowers, hidden, within itself,    and thanks to your love the tight...

She scrapes by, stars in her eyes. Down every polluted abyss and dingy church. She scrapes by people whose lies are Brighter than their dreams. Expectations that failed, like a drunkard’s empty Alcohol bottle, they’d all die for a drop. And sighs for a moon without shadow, Skipping sleep in taxis with empty talk. So her feet shuffle across Frozen hope, against the moonlit gravel....

Love Poem With Toast by Miller Williams
Some of what we do, we do to make things happen, the alarm to wake us up, the coffee to perc, the car to start. The rest of what we do, we do trying to keep something from doing something, the skin from aging, the hoe from rusting, the truth from getting out. With yes and no like the poles of a battery powering our passage through the days, we move, as we call it, forward, wanting to be wanted,...
